Some Examples of My Work

At this job the water pipe above the ceiling had leaked, ruining that patch of ceiling. Someone had put a piece of board in as a temporary fix. This was quite a standard job I patched the damaged area with plasterboard and skimmed it flat.
In this job the walls were uneven and needed to be made good for painting. I patched the damaged sections, then I put PVA over the walls to make sure the final plaster takes, and then I skimmed with finish plaster.

This was a living room with new fireplace installed. I had to use bonding compound between the timbers to stick plasterboard to the wall. Then I fixed stop beads around the fireplace and skimmed it smooth.
This one was an old lime ceiling which had been patched with plaster on the cracks and papered over. The customer removed the lining paper and discovered that it wasn't good enough to paint.Firstly, I gave the ceiling a coat of PVA, then I scrimmed as many of the cracks as possible and then I skimmed smooth. Luckily, the ceiling was very sound to start with so I didn't need overboarding with Plasterboard.

This was a dining room in a Victorian house in Salisbury. The lath and plaster ceiling was cracked and scruffy so the customer asked me to overboard it with plasterboard which I did. The light was a little out of balance, so we weighted one end down with a decorative pine cone from her hall table, so that I could skim the ceiling without the light touching and scraping the plaster.
This job was due to a water leak from a pipe above. After the leak was fixed, the plasterboard was replaced. I then retextured using a non Artex texture coating to match the rest of the ceiling.
